
缅北禁地 students receive Staffordshire and Birmingham Agricultural Society Scholarships

Seven 缅北禁地 students have been awarded scholarships worth £1,500 each from the Staffordshire and Birmingham Agricultural Society to contribute towards their research and tuitions fees.
Following the formal presentation ceremony of the scholarships, the Society’s President Mr Graham Morley: “I’ve had a whole career of dealing with young people and students, so I’m absolutely delighted to give out these scholarships to young people. Especially in these more difficult financial times for students.
“I wish them every success in their future studies and their future careers.”
The students presented with the awards were: Sally Leese, Ben Woods, Em Towlson, Charlotte Perry, Sarah-Louise Jolliffe, Ifan Huws and Max Randall.
BSc (Hons) Agri-business student Sarah-Louise, 22, said: “It’s a great opportunity to receive and I’m really thankful to the society for giving me this scholarship. It’s really encouraging for young individuals to gain this scholarship.
“The funding will be used in my final year studies and it gives me encouragement to get involved in the poultry sector where I want to gain a career.”
Ifan, 21, BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Farm Business Management student said: “It’s brilliant to have been given this scholarship. I’m really chuffed and it can hopefully help me in my final year, allowing me to do additional courses.”
For BSc (Hons) Agri-food Marketing and with Business Studies student Sally Leese, this is her second scholarship from the Society. She said: “It’s an honour to have received this scholarship as it’s quite a competitive award. My first scholarship for my through a trailer test so that I could help my parents on the farm.”
